Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides are presentation programs that allow you to build slide decks to share information. They are widely used for business, education, and personal projects. Usually, the goal of a presentation is to take information and present an easily understandable summary to people who might not have the initial context for your information. Chances are you have seen quite a few slide presentations in your life and may not have even realized it, as they are incredibly common for disseminating information.
Use these lessons to practice skills with presentation programs. Both lessons give you the same end presentation, so you can practice with whichever you choose (or both)!
While performing a Google search doesn't require having a Google account, many of the other apps do require that you be logged in at all times. These include Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Slides, Gmail, and Keep. You use one Google login for all of the different apps. Making an account is free, and you can use an existing email from another platform (Yahoo, Outlook, AOL, etc.) if you don't want to make a Gmail email.
